Barcelona Gardens: Parc de la Ciutadella - Passeig de Pujades, Barcelona, Spain
The Parc de la Ciutadella is the perfect place to escape from the busy city and it one of Barcelona's most popular parks. Home of the famous Universal Exhibition of 1888, the park features a small lake, a beautiful fountain and its main attraction, Barcelona zoo. The nearest train stations are the Arc de Triomf and Barceloneta stops.

The Botanical Gardens in Barcelona were created on the site of a former rubbish dump and have transformed this area, which is virtually unrecognisable. With a wide range of plants from all over the world, the plants are grouped according to their region. Barcelona Botanical Gardens are easy to reach by bus.

Barcelona Gardens: Parc Guell - Montana Pelada, Barcelona, Spain
Barcelona's Parc Guell is situated north of Gracia and is around 4 km / 2.5 miles from the Placa de Catalunya. Created by Gaudi between 1900 to 1914, this landscaped gardens is a truly enchanting place to visit. Filled with typical, extravagant Gaudi tiling and an enormous, curved, tiled bench, the Parc Guell is a public park and is constructed on a hillside.

The Jardins Costa i Llobera are situated on the Montjuïc Mountain and were opened in 1970. They provide the perfect place for a mountain top walk, surrounded by plants, trees and wonderful views.

This Muntanya de Montjuïc has been a popular park with locals in Barcelona for over 300 years. The park features many wild plants and also the imposing Castell de Montjuïc (Montjuïc Castle). The nearest train station is Espanya.

The Parc de Collserola is simply vast and is located on Collserola Mountain, close to Barcelona. With much flora and fauna, there are also trails that are perfect for walking and cycling. The park covers an area of 8,000 hectares / 19,750 acres and is one of the largest urban parks in the whole of Europe. The nearest train station is Montbau.

Created in 1978, this Parc de l'Oreneta was built on the site of two old factories, transforming the area into an attractive and quiet parkland. With an adjoining forests and many children's activities, such as pony rides, small trains, mazes and play areas, this Barcelona park is the ideal place for a family. The park is easy to reach by train and the nearest stop is the FGC Reina Elisenda.

Barcelona Gardens: Parc del Laberint (Labyrinth Park) - Germans Desvalls, Barcelona, Spain
Created in the 18th century, the Labyrinth Park is set in the grounds of a stately mansion. Highlights include many established trees, shrubs and flowers, a large labyrinth maze, numerous sculptures and classical music concerts in the summer.
